Color Your Dreams is a community engaged-learning project, initiated by faculty teacher Nguyen Hoang Thao Phuong and other teachers of Faculty of Architecture, Van Lang University, with the support from Vietnam Campus Engage, to deliver skills and inspiration in using acrylic and architecture models for children with hearing-impairment of Hy Vong Binh Thanh School for Hearning-Impairment Children.

The project’s 1st period starts from June 2020 to September 2020, in which 15 students of Faculty of Architecture, Van Lang University will work with 30 pupils of Hy Vong Binh Thanh School for 20 sessions (10 weeks), including learning and practicing using acrylic and models, stone material, outdoor activities for creating artwork…

Students – community-engaged learners – learn how to communicate and work with people with disabilities, and to deliver a training on their discipline, as well as other transferable skills such as group work, project management, lesson planning…

A pupil of Hy Vong Binh Thanh School for children with hearing impairment

Children with hearing-impairment of Hy Vong Binh Thanh School not just learn new skills in designing, using color and models, but also learn how to express themselves through art-work, and to be inspired to learn architecture and creativity.
