Introduction: Higher education institutions (HEIs) all over the world are increasingly playing a broader role than the traditional mission of educating younger generation and creating knowledge. The rapidly changing environment of the world demands them to be more relevant, responsible and actively integrated with the global and local issues in society, or in other words, more engaged to serve and hence co-create knowledge with many stake-holders and public entities. Higher education institutions in Vietnam are not outside of this transformation, since recently more campuses in Vietnam are applying civic engagement, including service-learning/community-engaged learning (SL/CEL), in their academic activities.
High quality SL/CEL that is beneficial to all parties involved must be built on a solid foundation of a carefully developed partnership. Developing campus-community partnership is a core element in designing effective SL/CEL activities and is the most important and also challenging part of the integration of learning and serving. Realizing the needs of this learning need among engaged higher education scholars and institutions in Vietnam at this moment, Vietnam Campus Engage, with the support from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) organizes the workshop “Campus-Community Partnership in Vietnam” on May 7-8, 2021 in Da Nang City, Vietnam.
Objectives: The workshop aims to raise awareness and build capacity for HEIs on:
- Overall review about Service-Learning/Community-Engaged Learning (SL/CEL) in HEIs international and regional development;
- Overall review on models, research and practices on Campus-Community Partnership from international HEIs (from Germany, US, Asian countries..) and Vietnamese HEIs;
- Bringing up dialogues on the importance, benefits and challenges in building Campus-Community Partnership in Vietnam;
- Agreement on network resources on Campus-Community Partnership for SL/CEL.
Participants: faculty teachers, administration managers and leaders of universities, curriculum developers from the network’s higher education institutions (HEIs) and interested ones; community organizations which are interested or have good models in working with HEIs in Vietnam

Kính gửi Quý lãnh đạo và nhân sự các cơ sở giáo dục bậc cao tại Việt Nam,
Văn phòng Đại diện Cơ quan Trao đổi Hàn lâm Đức (DAAD) tại Hà Nội phối hợp với Trung tâm Hợp tác và Phát triển Giáo dục (Vietnam Campus Engage) tổ chức hội thảo tại thành phố Đà Nẵng vào ngày 7-8 tháng 5 năm 2021 với nội dung “Xây dựng Quan hệ đối tác Đại học-Cộng đồng: Mô hình và Thực tiễn Quốc tế và Việt Nam”. Đây là một nội dung quan trọng đối với nhu cầu nâng cao năng lực đại học trong việc phát triển phương pháp “học thông qua phục vụ cộng đồng” (Service-Learning/Community-Engaged Learning) đang được ngày càng nhiều đại học áp dụng vào chương trình đào tạo.
Sự kiện khuyến khích các đại học quan tâm tham gia chia sẻ kinh nghiệm và thảo luận, kết nối. Chúng tôi trân trọng mời nhân sự đại học có liên quan đăng ký tham dự hội thảo.

Hạn đăng ký: ngày 19 tháng 4 năm 2021
Do số lượng người tham gia có hạn, đăng ký thành công dựa vào mức độ quan tâm và phù hợp của người đăng ký với nội dung của hội thảo và ưu tiên các đăng ký gửi đến sớm. Hội thảo ưu tiên người tham dự là:
- Giảng viên trực tiếp liên quan môn học lồng ghép hoạt động phục vụ cộng đồng
- Các cấp quản lý và lãnh đạo đại học, khoa, ngành, bộ môn;
- Các phòng ban liên quan xây dựng chương trình đào tạo;
- Các chuyên viên phụ trách quan hệ cộng đồng cho hoạt động học thông qua phục vụ cộng đồng (Service-Learning/Community-Engaged Learning – SL/CEL).
Chúng tôi sẽ thông báo đến quý vị xác nhận tham dự sau khi kết thúc thời hạn đăng ký. Những đại biểu được xác nhận tham dự hội thảo đến từ các tỉnh thành ngoài Đà Nẵng được tài trợ chi phí đi lại và khách sạn trong thời gian hội thảo (đêm 7 tháng 5 năm 2021). Thông tin chi tiết về hậu cần sẽ được gửi kèm trong thư xác nhận tham dự.
