Service-learning (SL) is a structured learning experience that combines community service with preparation and reflection. (Jacob 1996; Seifer 1998; National Service-Learning Clearinghouse, 2007).

Community-Engaged Learning (CEL): Community engagement describes the collaboration between institutions of higher education and their larger communities (local, regional/state, national, global) for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity. (Carnegie Foundation, 2006).

VNES-Vietnam Network of Engaged Scholars is the network of scholars (lecturers, researchers, leaders, and higher education personnel) related to SL/CEL in Vietnam.

The SL/CEL subject/project/activity development coaching program for members of the VNES-Vietnam Network of Engaged Scholars is organized by the Vietnam Campus Engage (VCE) and the Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) under funding from Irish Aid.

  1. Program Objectives:
  • Support VNES lecturers/members to develop outlines and/or detailed plans for SL/CEL subjects/projects/activities.
    • Subjects, projects, activities ,and SL/CEL initiatives with grades for students.
    • Projects, internships, and other learning activities SL/CEL have a different form of grades.
  • Support VNES’s lecturers in designing and implementing SL/CEL subject development/project/activity program.
  1. Coaching Format:
  • Depending on the lecturers’ needs of consulting, the program will provide assistance in the form of individual or group discussions based on the substance of ideas or outlines of activities of each lecturer or member.
  1. Conditions of participation:
  • Being a member of the VNES-Vietnam Network of Engaged Scholars;
  • Working as a lecturer and staff member at a higher education institution in Vietnam, with a desire to establish and improve educational activities based on the SL/CEL combined application of community service learning.
  1. Register in a coaching:
  • The deadline for registration for the first phase is 17:00 on October 20, 2021. (The organizers will close the application before the deadline if we have received a sufficient number of applications.)

Service-Learning (SL): là một trải nghiệm học tập có cấu trúc, kết hợp hoạt động phục vụ cộng đồng với các mục tiêu học tập rõ ràng, có sự chuẩn bị, và có phản hồi (Jacob 1996; Seifer 1998; National Service-Learning Clearinghouse, 2007).

Community-Engaged Learning (CEL): mô tả sự hợp tác giữa đại học và những cộng đồng lớn hơn của họ [địa phương, quốc gia, toàn cầu] để trao đổi  kiến thức và nguồn lực cùng có lợi cho các bên trong bối cảnh quan hệ đối tác và tương hỗ (Carnegie Foundation, 2006).

VNES – Mạng lưới Học giả Kết nối Cộng đồng Việt Nam (Vietnam Network of Engaged Scholars – gọi tắt là VNES) bao gồm giảng viên, nhà nghiên cứu, lãnh đạo và nhân sự liên quan Service Learning/Community-Engaged Learning (Học thông qua phục vụ cộng đồng  – SL/CEL) tại các cơ sở giáo dục bậc cao ở Việt Nam. 

Chương trình tài trợ Phát triển môn học/dự án/hoạt động SL/CEL dành cho thành viên VNES – Mạng lưới Học giả Kết nối Cộng đồng Việt Nam do Trung tâm Hợp tác và Phát triển Giáo dục – (Vietnam Campus Engage) và Trung tâm Nghiên cứu Phát triển Bền vững (CSDS) điều phối dưới sự tài trợ của Quỹ Viện trợ Ireland (Irish AID). 

  1. Mục tiêu chương trình: 
  • Hỗ trợ các giảng viên/thành viên VNES xây dựng đề cương và/hoặc kế hoạch chi tiết cho môn học/dự án/hoạt động SL/CEL: 
    • Môn học/dự án/hoạt động và các khởi xướng SL/CEL có tính điểm.
    • Dự án/thực tập/các hoạt động học tập SL/CEL có hình thức tính điểm khác. 
  • Hỗ trợ giảng viên hoàn thành mẫu đề xuất chương trình tài trợ Phát triển môn học/dự án/hoạt động SL/CEL  dành cho thành viên VNES
  1. Hình thức tư vấn: 
  • Tùy theo đặc điểm cụ thể của từng yêu cầu tư vấn, chương trình sẽ có các hỗ trợ theo hình thức thảo luận cá nhân/nhóm dựa trên nội dung ý tưởng/đề cương hoạt động của từng giảng viên/thành viên.
  1. Điều kiện tham gia:
  • Là thành viên VNES – Mạng lưới Học giả Kết nối Cộng đồng ;
  • Là giảng viên, nhân sự cơ sở giáo dục bậc cao tại Việt Nam, mong muốn khởi xướng và phát triển hoạt động giảng dạy theo phương pháp học thông qua phục vụ cộng đồng lồng ghép SL/CEL;

  • Thời hạn đăng ký đợt 1: 17:00 Ngày 20/10/2021 (Ban tổ chức sẽ đóng đăng ký sớm trong trường hợp đã nhận đủ đơn đăng ký tư vấn đạt yêu cầu)
